When you think of September, you think of the crisp leaves turing colors or the end of the summer. Well, if your like me then you think of FOOTBALL! With football comes the newest Madden, in this case Madden 2011.
Madden 2011 features the run of the mill features like season, playoffs, exhibition, and multilayer modes. In terms of gameplay, at times it flows like a console but at other times its slow and clunky. The playbooks are strong and the some of the in-game options like juking to the right add a lot to this game.
The controls are sometimes more difficult than they need to be, but they work. For instance, when running the ball, sometimes the run button doesn’t respond. The passing controls can be tricky and requie some fast finger motion, but it is better than Gameloft’s version. The virtual joystick works great, but overall the controls feel slow.
This game isn’t great, but its not terrible. For $3, its great, but for $5 is pushin it. John Madden’s voice is like nails on a chalkboard with his stupid statements (He’ll eaither run it or throw it) and it doesn’t allow you to play your own music. The controls work surprsing well for this type of game on such a small device. There is still some features I want to see in this game like Create-A-Player, but I still love this game.
